There’s more than just one story and one set of criteria for
being transgender, but from the outside it may seem a very specific thing. This project aims to make a resource for people who are questioning themselves in their gender, for those who have some ideas of what's up but want to be sure, and to create something for people that think being any kind of trans is a rigid thing.
To accomplish this we want to collect as many stories and biographies from people who are transgender, Stories of their life and the process and parts of it that led to understanding themselves better. Biographies that highlight the parts in their life that clued them in to what they would later understand, weather they were born this way or discovered later in life. This website will act as a place to collate these stories and freely share them so people who need it can see all the different parts of being trans.
Additionally submissions before 4/6/2026 will be considered for a print version consisting of 25 stories that will be distributed to public queer spaces and libraries. With the goal of making a diverse work that is the most likely to connect with as many questioning people as possible.
Pieces should be around 3000 - 4000 words long but if more words are needed to tell your story that will be fine fine. work will need to be submitted as either a .txt .pdf or .doc
If you would like to contribute your story to help others please send your piece to:
